More Details on Our Top Picks
Christmas Tree Plush Toy, 15.8″ Christmas Tree Pillow
The Christmas Tree Plush Toy stands out for its cuddly, soft plush fabric and festive design that doubles as holiday decor. Compared with more playful options, this pillow offers a classic, versatile look that can fit into a variety of holiday setups. Its size at 15.8 inches makes it substantial enough to serve as a centerpiece or a cozy companion, yet it remains manageable for smaller spaces. The plush material is delightful to touch, though it comes vacuum-packed, so it requires fluffing to regain its full shape. Limited in color options, it favors a traditional Christmas aesthetic, which might feel restrictive for some. Overall, this pick makes the most sense for those wanting a plush that combines decoration with a giftable quality, especially if they prefer a classic holiday look.
Pros:- Soft and cuddly plush material
- Cute and versatile holiday decor
- Easy to fluff after unpacking
Cons:- Vacuum-packed, needs fluffing
- Limited color options
- Size may be small for larger decor needs

Ricky Rain Frog Christmas Tree by JellyCat
The Ricky Rain Frog Christmas Tree makes a charming, playful addition to any holiday collection. Its embroidered baubles and star-topped hat give it a detailed, festive look that appeals to children and collectors alike. Measuring 11.4 inches, it’s compact enough for cuddling or display without overwhelming a space. Compared to the plush Tree Pillow, Ricky Rain Frog’s detailed embroidery and costume make it more visual than cuddly, though it still offers a soft, plush feel. This plush is better suited for those who want a holiday-themed toy or gift that adds a splash of whimsy and character, rather than a large decor piece.

- No customer reviews available
- Price not specified

Factors to Consider When Choosing Jellycat Christmas Collection
Choosing the perfect Jellycat Christmas plush depends on what you prioritize—whether it’s cozy softness, decorative charm, or playful character. The collection offers options suited for different purposes and gift recipients. To help you decide, I’ve broken down key factors such as size, design, versatility, and price, so you can find a holiday plush that matches your needs and space constraints.Size and Purpose
If you want a plush that doubles as a holiday decoration or a cozy companion, size matters. The Christmas Tree Plush Pillow offers a larger, plush presence that works well as a centerpiece or gift, but it might be too small for impactful decor in bigger spaces. Conversely, Ricky Rain Frog’s smaller size makes it more suited for cuddling or a decorative accent. Consider whether your main goal is plush comfort, visual appeal, or both, and pick accordingly.
Design and Detailing
The Tree Pillow adopts a traditional holiday look with a simple, festive theme, making it versatile for many decor styles. Ricky Rain Frog, on the other hand, emphasizes detailed embroidery and a whimsical costume, perfect for adding holiday spirit with a playful twist. Your choice hinges on whether you prefer understated elegance or detailed, character-driven design.
Material and Quality
While both are plush toys, the Tree Pillow’s plush fabric is known for its softness and easy fluffing, making it ideal for tactile comfort. Ricky Rain Frog’s material details are less clear, but as a Jellycat product, it is expected to be soft and durable. However, the lack of specific material info for Ricky Rain Frog means potential buyers should weigh the brand’s reputation against limited product details.
Price and Value
The Tree Pillow generally offers a good balance of size, softness, and decoration value, making it a cost-effective choice for holiday gifting. Ricky Rain Frog’s detailed design and brand reputation may come at a higher price, but it’s more about visual impact and collectability than bulk or size. Your budget and intended use will guide your choice here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Jellycat Christmas plush toys suitable for children?
Most Jellycat plush toys, including their Christmas collection, are made with soft, non-toxic materials that are safe for children. However, it’s always best to check the specific product’s age recommendations, especially for smaller parts or embroidered details. The Ricky Rain Frog, with its detailed embroidery, may be better suited for slightly older children who won’t accidentally pull off small decorations.
Can these plush toys be used as holiday decorations?
Yes, both the Christmas Tree Plush Pillow and Ricky Rain Frog are designed with decorative appeal in mind. The Tree Pillow’s plush fabric and traditional shape make it a cozy, charming decoration that can sit on couches, beds, or shelves. Ricky Rain Frog’s festive costume and embroidered details make it a playful accent on mantels, desks, or as part of a holiday display. Consider the size and style to match your decor theme.
How durable are Jellycat plush toys for holiday use?
Jellycat plush toys are generally well-made with soft, durable fabrics that withstand gentle handling. The plush Tree Pillow’s fabric is easy to fluff and maintain, suitable for repeated use as decor or a cuddly gift. Ricky Rain Frog’s embroidered features should hold up well over time, but its smaller size and detailed elements might require gentle handling to keep in good condition, especially if used as a toy.
Are Jellycat plush toys expensive?
Jellycat plush toys tend to be priced at a premium compared to generic plush toys, reflecting their quality and detailed craftsmanship. The Christmas Tree Plush Pillow is generally affordable given its size and versatility, while Ricky Rain Frog may be somewhat pricier due to its detailed embroidery and limited edition appeal. The value depends on whether you prioritize quality, design, or budget—each product offers a different balance.
How should I care for these plush toys during the holidays?
Cleaning instructions for Jellycat plush toys typically involve surface cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap. It’s best to avoid machine washing or drying to preserve the fabric and embroidery. Fluff the Tree Pillow gently after unpacking to restore its shape. Ricky Rain Frog’s detailed embroidery should be handled with care to prevent fraying or damage. Proper maintenance ensures they stay festive and cuddly for many seasons.
Conclusion
For buyers prioritizing cozy, plush comfort and versatile holiday decor, the Christmas Tree Plush Pillow makes an excellent choice, especially for those who want a classic, cuddly gift or decoration. If your focus is on playful, character-driven holiday cheer or a collectible item, the Ricky Rain Frog Christmas Tree offers a whimsical, detailed alternative. Consider your space, style preferences, and whether you want a plush for cuddling or display to guide your purchase this holiday season.
