Climate Change from the Affected Generation

Advice From Obama’s Senior Adviser on Climate 17 April 2016 | Posted in News

I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Deese, President Obama’s Senior Adviser on Climate on Friday. I asked him how kids (that’s you and me!) can help move the Paris Agreement forward in America, and in other countries too. Here is some advice from a professional:

  • Get educated about climate change, and what aspects of it you want to be involved in.

  • Reach out to your friends, teachers, and family to build support.

  • Just by being at this climate lecture (or in this case, Two Green Leaves), you’ve already taken a step forward.

  • Reach out to your senators, mayor, legislators, governor etc. and tell them that you support the Paris agreement and urge them to take political action to do so as well. If you wish to do this, here are some good places to get started:
